Spiced Almonds
INGREDIENTS (Serves 6)
Vegetable oil for greasing
200g whole blanched almonds
1 egg white, lightly whisked
100g caster sugar
½ tsp sea salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp crushed chilies
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 170 C or gas mark 3.
- Line a baking tray with foil and brush lightly with vegetable oil.
- Toss the almonds in the egg white.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Spread the nuts on the tray in one layer.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Leave to cool before serving.
