Savoury Spirals


INGREDIENTS (Serves 4)


25g parmesan, grated

225g puff pastry

100 pitted green olives, finely chopped

1 egg, beaten

Garlic clove, crushed

Black pepper, ground

Paprika, to dust


DIRECTIONS


  1.  Roll out pastry to a 20x25cm rectangle.
  2. Mix together olives, garlic, parmesan and pepper.
  3. Brush the pastry with a beaten egg
  4. Spread olive paste over the top
  5. Tightly roll up the pastry to make a swiss roll shape  
  6. Chill in fridge for 20 mins
  7. Preheat oven 220O/Gas7
  8. Once chilled, cut into thin slices and place on baking tray
  9. Dust with paprika
  10. Bake for 10-12 mins until golden
  11. Cool on a wire rack
