Cranberry & Fig Relish


INGREDIENTS (Serves 8)

5 cloves

250g pack of dried figs

150 ml port

Juice of ½ orange

1 cinnamon stick

1 tbsp dark muskovado sugar

300g cranberries


DIRECTIONS


  1. Put all the ingredients in a pan and bring to the boil.
  2. Lower the heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes until the cranberries have burst.
  3. Taste, adding more sugar if necessary.
  4. Serve warm or cold.
